As a payroll or platform admin, you can configure general settings for Payroll. Do the following:

In the sidebar, in the Business section, click Settings.

Go to the Payroll > Payroll tab.

In the upper-right corner, click Edit payroll.

Enter the following details:

In the Company code section, enter the following details:

In COMPANY NAME, enter the name of your company as per your organization's trade license.

In COMPANY CODE, enter your company code. This number, which is called the Establishment Number in the trade license, is an identification code provided by the Ministry of Labour.

In ROUTING CODE, enter the routing code of the bank that contains the account from which your organization pays salaries.

(Optional) In IBAN, enter your IBAN.
An International Bank Account Number (IBAN) is a standard numbering system for individual bank accounts around the world.
You must enter your IBAN if you are running a WPS payroll. Otherwise, this field is optional.

(Optional) In ACCOUNT NUMBER, enter your bank account number.

You can add details for more than one company in your organization. To do this, add additional rows in the Company code section and enter all the required details. To add an additional row, click in the bottom-right corner of the section.

In Daily rate calculations, select the option that represents how you calculate daily salaries.
You can select one of the following options:

Calendar days in year (annual salary / 365)

Working days in year (annual salary / ___ day) (In this option, you can manually configure the number of working days in the year.)

Days in month (monthly salary / days in month)
-
Days in 30 days (monthly salary / 30 day)

In Unpaid leave rate calculation, select the option that represents how you deduct amounts from salaries for unpaid leave.

In Payroll warning +/-, enter the permitted margin of variance (in percentage) before the platform displays a warning.
This field is beneficial if you have employees with variable salary components (for example, your Sales team), or if you run a WPS pay run.

In the Payslip template drop-down menu, select your preferred payslip template.

In Send payslips to, select the option that represents the email address to which you want to automatically send employee payslips.
We recommend selecting Business email unless you have a personal email address listed on the platform for all employees.

(Optional) If you bank with HSBC, enter values for the following fields as required:

HSBC connect customer id

HSBC net customer id
-
HSBC payment code
-
HSBC bank account number
-
HSBC bank second party id
-
HSBC bank LCC code
-
HSBC debtor name
-
HSBC account country code
-
HSBC second party reference
-

At the bottom of the page, click Save.
