Publishing global feeds

Introduction

The ability to globally publish articles is a little-known feature of Community articles. "Globally" means that you can publish and make the articles available to all businesses. You can publish an article and multiple businesses can subscribe to it.

The capability to globally publish articles replaces the hard-coded articles and offers previously available in Benefits (which were always available, and you had minimal control on whether they were visible to your employees).

Objective

In this tutorial, you will learn how to enable the preference setting that lets you publish global feeds.

Recommended initial tasks

Like all preference settings, the default is OFF, which means no global feeds are delivered to you. We recommend having a discussion on whether to enable these settings, so that you can receive offers sent either from Yomly or other clients in the network.

Procedure

To enable publishing global feeds, do the following:

  1. In the sidebar, in the Business section, click Settings.

  2. Go to the Preferences tab.

  3. Click Community to expand the section.

  4. Click Global community Feed to view the preferences that you can set.

In this preference setting, you can enable global feeds of:

    • News
    • Offers
    • Information Articles
    • Announcements
  5. Select the checkboxes of all global feeds that you want to enable.

  6. For each global feed type, set the Audience Group, which determines to whom the feeds are delivered.

If you do not select an Audience Group, the feeds are visible to everyone.

  7. Click Save.
