To Enable/Disable Employment Anniversary Email Notifications

Anniversary greeting email notifications can be configured in Yomly to notify employees and relevant stakeholders when an employee completes their work anniversary.
This preference settings allow the business to control who receives the notification and when it is sent.

Access Requirement: Only employees with HR Admin access can update preference settings.


Navigation Path

Main Menu → Business → Settings → Preferences


Configuring Anniversary Greeting Email Preferences

Step 1: Open Preferences

Log in to your Yomly account using your dedicated business URL.

Navigate to Main Menu → Business → Settings → Preferences.

 


Step 2: Select the 'Employee Profile' Preferences

Under Preferences, select Employee Profile.

Scroll down to locate the preference key anniversary_greetings.


Step 3: Edit Anniversary Greeting Settings

Click the option to edit the anniversary_greetings preference.

Configure the following fields as needed:

Notification Recipients

  • Notify Employee
    When enabled, the employee will receive an anniversary greeting email on their anniversary.

  • Notify Line Manager
    When enabled, the employee’s line manager(s) will receive an anniversary greeting email.

  • Notify HR Admin(s)
    When enabled, HR Admin(s) will receive an anniversary greeting email.

Notification Timing

  • Notification on Yearly Anniversary
    When enabled, the employee will receive an anniversary greeting email every year on their anniversary.

  • Notification on 1, 5, 10 Year(s)
    When enabled, the employee will receive an anniversary greeting email only on milestone anniversaries (1st, 5th, and 10th year).


Step 4: Save the Preference

Click on the Save button to apply the updated preference settings.

To disable notifications, simply uncheck the checkboxes of notifications.


What Happens After This Is Set

Anniversary greeting emails are sent based on the selected checkboxes for notification recipients and notification timing.

Employees, line managers, and HR Admins receive notifications according to the enabled options.

The preference applies to all the employees in the business.


Important Notes

Anniversary dates are calculated based on the employee’s joining date.

Anniversary greeting emails are sent on a yearly basis by default to the employee.

Changes apply to future anniversary notifications only.

Ensure employee joining dates are accurate for correct notifications.
