Hiding or displaying Yomly features

Introduction

As a platform admin, you can hide or display any key feature of Yomly for one or multiple users by customizing the UI from your business settings. You can hide a feature completely or restrict specific employees (based on audience) from accessing it.

This tutorial describes the procedure to achieve this using the example of the Leave feature. In a similar manner, you can hide or display any other key feature of the platform, such as Performance Management, Recruitment, Documents, and more.

Objective

In this tutorial, you will learn how to hide or display Leave for all employees.

Procedure

To achieve the objective, do the following:

  1. In the sidebar, in the Business section, click Settings.

  2. Go to Customization > User Interface.

  3. Click  EmiratesHR to expand it.

  5. In the Rules for Leave Module dialogue, do the following:

      • To display Leave in Yomly, enable the toggle button.
      • To hide Leave from Yomly, disable the toggle button.

    2. (Optional) Enter a Comment to document the change you have made.

  6. Click Save.

  7. Log out and log back in to view the changes in the UI.

This example illustrates the default configuration, in which the Rules dialogue has only one row, which corresponds to Everyone. (Everyone is an Assignee Group (also known as Audience) that includes all employees.)

Therefore, this configuration enables all users to view and access Leave.

However, in the Rules dialogue, you can even restrict user access to a feature based on audience.

For example, you can hide the Leave feature for only a specific group of employees. To achieve this, here's what you would need to do:

  1. Create an audience that includes all the employees from whom you want to hide Leave. Do the following:

    1. In your business settings, go to Organisation > Assignee Groups.
    2. Click + Create Assignee Group.
    3. Enter the details and click Save.
  2. In your business settings, go to Customization > User Interface, and click the settings (  ) icon in Leave Module (Feature) to open the Rules for Leave Module dialogue.

By default, Leave is configured as visible to Everyone.

  3. In the Role section, click   to add another row.

  4. In the Role drop-down menu, select the audience you created.

  5. Disable the Visible toggle button.

  6. Click Save.

All users except those in the configured audience will be able to view and access Leave.
