How to manually add variables to an employee's payroll?

Step by Step Guide

  1. Log in to your Yomly account using your dedicated business URL
  2. Go to the MAIN MENU > PAYROLL
  3. Under the 'Pay Run' tab, select the pay run by clicking 'View'
  4. Click the blue pen icon across the name of the employee
  5. Select the 'Variable' tab
  6. Click the plus (+) icon then select the pay category from the dropdown
  7. Enter the description to show in the employee's payslip
  8. Add the amount
  9. Click 'Save'. The amount will appear as an addition or deduction based on how the Pay Category has been set-up in the Payroll Settings.
  10. To delete a variable, simply click the delete button.

NOTE: We recommend using a bulk import file (click 'How to Bulk Import Variables?' to learn more) for variables however, if you need to manually add a variable to an employee, you can follow the steps above.
