About Advances

Payroll provides you with a tool called Advances that enables you to comprehensively manage salary advances of your employees. Advances helps you monitor and account for:

  • Salary advance payments
  • Payroll deductions that correspond to repayment of the advances in installments

Working with advances in Payroll

As a payroll or platform admin, you can add, view, and manage salary advances of your employees in the Advances tab.

To go to the Advances tab, do the following:

  1. In the sidebar, in the Business section, click Payroll.

  2. Click Advances to switch to the Advances tab.

In this tab, you can add advances for employees and view the summary of all available advances. For more information, see Adding advances for employees from Payroll.

To view details of or manage an advance, click View in the Action column.

This displays the Advance Details page, in which you can do the following:

  • View detailed information about the advance, including the repayment schedule and status of payments.

  • Edit the advance and repayment schedule

  • Delete the advance

Working with advances in employee profiles

You can also add, view, and manage salary advances for any employee individually in the Benefits > Advances tab on the employee's profile.

In this tab, you can click View in the Action column to view and manage any advance (similar to working with advances in Payroll).
