Release Notes - March 9, 2024

Platform Web application

We're excited to announce a new release with enhancements, performance improvements, and bug fixes.

What's new

In this release, we bring you the following new features and enhancements:

Leave

Enhancement Description
Migration of approval groups to the leave approval pipeline

In previous versions of Leave, leave approval was governed by approval groups. However, in Leave V2, the approval process is governed by pipelines.

In Yomly, pipelines help you to implement workflows and assign permission-based approval mechanisms at different stages of processes.

When using pipelines to govern an approval process, you can use audiences to implement access control. You can assign one or multiple audiences to any pipeline state to assign the employees in the audiences as the approvers for that stage of the workflow.

In this release, we have migrated all existing leave approval groups to our dynamic pipelines.

The seamless migration has ensured:

  • Consistency between pipeline history and migrated approval group steps and statuses; no data loss

  • Correct functioning of automated notifications and auto-triggered approval workflows

  • No disruption to your ability to view and manage leave requests for your business

Bug fixes

In this release, we've resolved the following global bugs:

Benefits

Issue Description
Incorrect airfare accrual

Previously, when airfare payments were automated through Payroll, air ticket accruals for the following year were not automatically added in the Benefits > Airfare tab. Platform admins also couldn't manually add the air ticket accruals.

In some cases, the following issues also occurred:

  • Details of the airfare allowances were not displayed in the Salary tab.

  • The statuses of air ticket accruals were missing or incorrectly displayed in the Benefits > Airfare tab.

For example, even after airfare was paid, Pending status was displayed.

These issues are fixed now.

Leave

Issue Description
Updating public holidays doesn't automatically update leave days in requests

Previously, if you updated the public holidays configured on the platform, the changes weren't automatically reflected in the doughnut charts on the Leave dashboard and in leave requests.

For example, after a new public holiday on July 5, 2023 is added on the platform, the number of leave days in an employee's leave request from July 1, 2023 - July 10, 2023 is supposed to reduce by 1 automatically.

However, this information wasn't displayed correctly in the request and doughnut chart.

This issue is fixed now.

Letter requests

Issue Description
Incorrect employee passport numbers in letters

Previously, when letter requests were created for multiple employees, the letters were generated with incorrect passport numbers.

This issue is fixed now.
