Exciting Updates to Time and Attendance (T&A)

We’ve made key improvements to the Time & Attendance module to enhance usability, control, and user experience.

Feature Enhancements

Improvement to T&A event association logic

Improvement to the core T&A event association logic that prioritises schedule allocations over working patterns for employees in rotation shifts. This fundamental enhancement ensures accurate event pairing by implementing intelligent schedule-aware logic that considers:

• Smart Working Duration Detection:
  • Rotation workers: If "Allow rotation" is enabled in working pattern of an employee then Yomly will refer schedule allocations to determine working duration. Days with missing allocations will be considered as off days.
  • Standard workers:  If "Allow rotation" is disabled in working pattern of an employee then Yomly will refer working patterns to determine working duration. Off days will be determined as per the working pattern definition.
• Multi-Shift Support: Advanced handling of employees with multiple shifts per day, including proper grace period calculations
• Schedule ID Persistence: Automatic storage of both schedule ID or working pattern ID with each event for reference
• Off-Day Recognition: Intelligent detection of off-days to prevent incorrect event associations

Timezone-Aware Processing: Proper timezone conversion for accurate schedule timing computations

Advanced creation of attendance event

Enhanced manual event creation to support independent events with advanced location marking and event association capabilities. 

Key enhancements include:

• Single Event Creation: Event type dropdown with clock-in/clock-out options
• Dual location selection: address dropdown or map marking.  Interface abilities matching mobile app feature to mark attendance from outside permitted locations.
• Event Association: Checkbox option to assign to existing events with dynamic event listing
• Enhanced Validation:
  • Date and time selection allowing current and past dates only
  • Advanced business validations and user confirmations

Advanced editing of attendance event

Enhanced attendance editing functionality to match mobile app flexibility and manual event creation capabilities. 

Key improvements:

• Advanced Location Management: Dropdown or map-based location selection with modification flexibility
• Data Integrity: Enhanced validation ensuring clock-in occurs before clock-out
• Consistent Experience: Interface parity with mobile app and manual creation features
• Missing Event Handling: Intelligent association of missing events with existing events with smart data filtering
